Welcome to Dicey Table. By accessing or using diceytable.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Do not share your sign-in links with others. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm other users.
• Upload, distribute, or link to content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure.
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions.
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities; instead, please report them to [email protected].

4. Mods and Community Content

Mods published to the Dicey Table platform are created by third-party authors and hosted on GitHub. We do not endorse or take responsibility for the content of community mods. All mod scripts run in a sandboxed environment; however, you install and run community content at your own risk.

By publishing a mod compatible with Dicey Table, mod authors grant users a non-exclusive licence to run that mod within the Service for personal, non-commercial tabletop play.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Some features require a paid subscription ("Player" or "Game Master" plans). Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your settings page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months except where required by applicable law.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to subscribers.

6. Intellectual Property

The Dicey Table name, logo, and software are the intellectual property of Dicey Table and its developers. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without written permission. Content you create (room names, saved table states) remains yours; you grant us a limited licence to store and display it to operate the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Peer-to-peer connections depend on your network conditions; we cannot guarantee session quality or uptime.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dicey Table shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Dicey Table is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
