Prototyping
Playtest a board game prototype online
You can playtest a board game prototype online by building it in DiceyTable's free editor and sending testers a link. They join from a browser, with nothing to install, and play on a 3D table with real dice, cards and pieces.
Lay out the board, decks and tokens without code. Turn a board image into a playable board and a card sheet into a deck. Then publish, open a room and share the link. Each tester signs in with a free account, ten take seats, and others can watch.
Between sessions, change a rule or a card and publish again. Your draft keeps a version history, so you can restore the build that played better. To test two versions of a rule, put one in a variant and pick it in the lobby.
What is DiceyTable?
DiceyTable is a free 3D virtual tabletop with a game editor built in. For designers it is a place to turn a paper prototype into a shared table, invite testers from a link, and change the game between sessions without reprinting anything.
Testers can join only after you publish, and published games live in a public GitHub repo anyone can read. There is no print-and-play export.
Put your prototype on the table
Build it in the editor, publish it and invite your first testers with a link. Building and testing are free.
