Fully Scripted
Online board games that enforce the rules
On DiceyTable, some games come in a Fully scripted version, where the game's own script enforces the rules and declares the winner. Today that means Chess and Reversi / Othello. Nobody has to referee, and you still play on the same 3D table with real pieces.
Open Chess or Othello, make a room and pick the Scripted variant in the lobby. Invite a friend with the room link, or seat a bot in the empty chair. During play, the active player's seat lights up and a chime tells you when it is your turn.
When the game ends, a game-over window names the winner. Return to lobby opens a rematch lobby with the same settings, held for your table for 30 seconds. The room owner can also switch on Ranked so the result counts toward your Score.
What is DiceyTable?
DiceyTable is a free 3D virtual tabletop that runs in your browser. Most games are played by hand, like a real table. Games with a Fully scripted variant add a rules script on top, so the table itself knows whose turn it is and who won.
Only Chess and Reversi / Othello have a Fully scripted variant today. Texas Hold'em's script also runs the whole game, but it cannot be ranked. Most other games are played by hand. Every player needs a free account.
