Build a board game with AI using Claude and MCP
Yes, an AI helper such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor or VS Code can build and playtest a board game with you on DiceyTable. The DiceyTable MCP server lets it work in your own signed-in editor tab, as you, while you watch.
In Settings, under AI agents, allow agents to connect and create a key. Save it with npx -y @diceytable/mcp-bridge@1 login. For Claude Code, add the server with claude mcp add diceytable -- npx -y @diceytable/mcp-bridge@1. Your agent then shows a code such as K7P-4QX, which you type into Connect AI agent in the Help menu.
From there it can lay out a board, build decks, write scripts, deal a test hand and check screenshots. Publishing, deleting and other risky steps wait until you click Allow.
What is DiceyTable?
DiceyTable is a free 3D virtual tabletop with a game editor built in. It ships its own MCP server, so an AI agent can use the same editor and table you do, with your permissions and nothing more.
The agent works only while your DiceyTable tab is open and signed in. Other players see an AI badge, and a session with any agent time earns no chips, stats or ranking eligibility.
Connect your agent to DiceyTable
Create a key in Settings, add the server to your MCP client and pair your tab. Agent access is free.
