Import 3D models into a virtual tabletop

DiceyTable's editor imports 3D models in twelve formats, including FBX, OBJ, STL and glTF, and turns them into game pieces with real physics. Anything that is not already GLB is converted inside your browser, so there is no upload to wait for.

Drop a file into the asset explorer and say who made it. The inspection report shows what the model costs. You can weld it, simplify it to a percentage and compress its textures to WebP or KTX2, then revert if you change your mind. A zip of PBR texture maps becomes a material.

Then give the piece a collider: a box, sphere, capsule, cylinder, convex hull or mesh. Bake collider writes a simplified collision model for detailed pieces, so they roll and stack the way they look.

What is DiceyTable?

DiceyTable is a free 3D virtual tabletop that runs in the browser, with a game editor built in. Modellers and game makers can bring their own miniatures, boards and props, set up their physics, and publish the game for friends to play.

There is no automatic convex decomposition, so concave pieces need a compound or baked collider. Published models live in a public GitHub repo anyone can read.

Import your first model

Open the editor, bring in a file and drop it on a physics table. Importing and publishing are free.
