Play Go online on a 9x9 or 13x13 board
You can play Go online with a friend on DiceyTable on a small 9x9 board or a medium 13x13 board, as well as the full 19x19. It is free and runs in your browser.
Open Go, make a room and pick the board size in the lobby: Small Board for 9x9, Medium Board for 13x13 or Large Board for 19x19. Send your friend the room link. You each place your stones by hand, just as you would over a real board, and remove captured stones yourselves.
The 9x9 board gives short games and is a friendly place to learn. The 13x13 board is a good step up before the full 19x19.
What is DiceyTable?
DiceyTable is a free 3D virtual tabletop that runs in your browser. Its Go game puts modelled stones on a shared table with real physics, so two players anywhere can sit down at the same board from one link.
Go on DiceyTable is played by hand. Nothing checks captures or ko, there is no automatic scoring and there are no Go bots, so you need a human opponent and you count the score together.
