Cribbage is the best two-player card game there is, and the deck and the hidden hands it needs are both here. Be aware of one honest limitation before you start: there is no pegboard model yet.
Deal six cards each. Both players discard two into the crib — a fifth hand that belongs to the dealer and is scored at the end of the round. Cut the remaining deck and turn the top card up; this is the starter, and it counts toward every hand. A turned-up jack scores the dealer two immediately.
Take turns laying cards face up, calling the running total. Face cards count ten, aces one. You score two for making the total exactly fifteen, two for a pair, six for three of a kind, and points for runs. Hit exactly thirty-one and score two; if neither player can go without passing thirty-one, the last to lay a card scores one and the count resets.
Each hand is then scored with the starter card added: two for every combination totalling fifteen, two per pair, one per card in a run, four or five for a flush, and one for holding the jack matching the starter's suit. Non-dealer counts first, then the dealer, then the dealer's crib.
First to 121 wins. The deal alternates each round.
